Currently: learning in public

Hey, I'm Barshan.
This is Node
my security journal.

I'm learning cybersecurity from the ground up: networks, ethical hacking, and the everyday habits that keep people safe online. Node is where I write it down, track what I've built, and keep my resume up to date as I go.

What I'm into

Security is a lot of small habits, done well

"Jack of all trades, master of none, but often times better than a master of one."

I am a student who likes to share my experience in my learning.

Network security

Firewalls, segmentation, and figuring out why "just open the port" is never the right answer.

Ethical hacking

CTFs on weekends, lab boxes on weeknights. Learning to think like an attacker so I can defend like one.

Everyday privacy

Password managers, MFA, and helping non-technical friends and family lock down their accounts.
